Bull Creek Electric offers a full complement of residential electrical services for your renovation or new build.

Renovations

Whether you're taking on extensive renovations or looking to make small improvements, Bull Creek Electric can help plan and execute electrical upgrades. It is important to work with a licensed electrical contractor to ensure electrical systems and devices are installed correctly to the most current Canadian Electrical Code. Your home's electrical system is like your body's heart and nervous system. You wouldn't trust anyone with your own health, would you? The same should apply to your home electrical system.

We may not often think about the electrical system in our homes because it's mostly out of view, behind the walls. Major renovations are complex. If your home renovation involves opening up the walls and ceilings, this is a great opportunity to make electrical upgrades that will meet your current and future needs, and increase the value of your home in the long term.

Sometimes simple changes, like the location or number of outlets, can have a big impact on the function and usability of a space. We can improve the location and layout of electrical devices to meet the family's needs. Contact us for more ideas on small but impactful changes that meet your renovation vision and budget!

New Builds

If you're building a new home, Bull Creek Electric can complete all electrical work along the construction timeline from underground or overhead service, rough-in, and final installation for inspection.

Underground or overhead service is where we install the cable provided by the utility supplier and properly connect or terminate the electrical system being energized. Once the service has been inspected and passed, then the utility company authorizes energization.

Electrical rough-in is the phase in construction where all the cables have been pulled or piped through the framing and connected to wall and ceiling boxes. At this point, the work is inspected and passed or failed. Eliminate the chance of failed inspections by working with a licensed electrician. Better yet, work with a master electrician who can pull the correct permits him or herself. Read on to find out why this is a benefit to home owners.

Devices like outlets, switches and lights are installed during the final stage of construction and are inspected upon final home inspection. Once the final inspection is complete, our involvement with your residential new build projects is complete.

Eletcrical Inspections

Our lead electrician is a master electrician who can pull the required permits for new builds and renovations. Although we don't conduct independent inspections, we can guarantee your projects will pass inspections because we pull electrical permits for contractors. Work completed under a homeowner's permit, which can be obtained by any home owner, does not always pass inspections.

Let us take the uncertainty out of the process and allow us to apply for electrical permits for contractors. We also take on the liability by doing so!

Landscape Lighting

We can install accent lighting for all types of hard and softscapes. Strategically placed accent lighting can really bring your landscapes to life and improve the curb appeal of your home. A previously avoided dark corner of your yard can easily become a favourite evening hang out spot with accent lighting, and a comfortable piece of furniture!

Well lit decks, walkways and stairs are safer and you may be eligible for additional property insurance discounts, as lighting can add to the overall security of your home.

If you've been working with a landscape designer or have ideas or your own we can help you bring those plans to life. We can also offer ideas, if you don't know where to start.

Detached Garages

Garages often need to meet many needs, from vehicle and equipment storage to workspaces to man or woman caves!

Heaters and furnaces, and improved lighting are commonly added to garages so they can be used year round for many activities.

Get in touch with us if you're planning a renovation or new garage build. Having the right plan in place from the start to meet those many needs will pay off in the long run.
